One Night Only!
Although I wouldn't suggest it, if you pitted the elegant Count Dracula--he of the pomaded hair and crisp suits--against the hideous, long-taloned Nosferatu in a vampire cage match, I think it's quite clear who would be the winner. Nosferatu would collect his prize (all-you-can-drink from a jugular tap, naturally) in record time.
For proof, just check out director F.W. Murnau's 1922 German Expressionist classic, "Nosferatu," with the incomparable Max Schreck in the lead role. Was there ever an actor more suited for a part than Schreck, whose very name means terror in German and whose real features were so rodent-like that Murnau only needed to slap some pointy ears and false teeth on him in order to transform Schreck into the frightening blood-sucker?
How frightening? The film was banned in Sweden, due to "excessive horror," until 1972. The Clay is proud to present "Nosferatu" with an original score performed live by the electronic maestro Bonjon.
