Our monthly series of 21+ screenings in partnership with Solstice Lounge wraps up for 2008 with a film the Clay has always wanted to play, but never has before-- LABYRINTH! For those that attended our Dark Crystal night, you already know bars and muppets mix really too well, but we have an added bonus for saturday night: DAVID BOWIE KARAOKE! That's right, muppets, drinking, and drunken singing, three great things together, just for you. $10.50 General Admission, 21+ with ID. Enjoy! Friday is regular admission and at midnight, as usual.
The biggest and baddest Jim Henson creature shop film of them all, Labyrinth is a distinctive blend of human actors and bizarre puppet creations that come together in a dazzlingly realized fantasy world. When Sarah (Jennifer Connolly), in a fit of pique, summons Goblins to take away her noisy little brother-- and they actually do!-- she must descend into the Labyrinth, and face off against the mighty Goblin King (David Bowie), to get him back.
