Page 1 of 2 How does a Midnight Movie get picked? Lots of Ways.Sometimes Landmark's team of hotshot bookers comes across a movie that they think is perfect for midnight. Sometimes, a movie that has fallen out of circulation falls back in due to new 35mm prints being struck or new distribution. But most of the time, we pick the films because we think that a movie has merit, and that you, the viewer, will want to come out at midnight to see it.
We don't pick these movies for us, we pick them for you, the audience, to come and see. So why not tell us what you want? The suggestion box is the place we'll be looking to for your input on films you'd like to see for future seasons of the Late Night Picture Show. But keep in mind, many films are not available on 35mm or don't have a theatrical distributor-- your awesome idea may not be viable, lots of ours aren't. That's just the way it is, folks.

Bloody Good Written by spicaspic, on 09-02-2008 01:03 "Tenebre" would be completely lovely. As would "Dressed to Kill." Basically any giallo-esque film involving a straigh-edged razor. I'm very single-minded in taste. Peter Greenaway would also be fantastic. For grotesqueries, "The Cook, the Thief, His Wife, and Her Lover" can't be beat. But otherwise, fanstastic line-up. |
