It’s time to pack away your sunscreen, travel plans and lost hopes for a hot San Francisco summer and get ready to embrace the night. That’s right folks, the Late Night Picture Show is back! The historic Clay Theatre’s very own midnight movie series returns this fall to take another swing at showing the best cult, specialty and forgotten films that have ever graced the silver screen. Every weekend starting September 7th through December 1st the Clay Theatre will be burning the midnight oil to showcase films so amazing, they can’t wait ‘till morning. The Late Night Picture Show is the perfect antidote to those super bad summer “movies” with heady plots that are ultimately boring. These neo-classics are films that transform you more than any television sitcom could!
Now creeping into its second year and third season, the Late Night Picture Show has once again scoured the studios, vaults and basements for premier after-hours cinema. What we came up with is an all-new lineup of titles and genres with the same paramount quality and unprecedented special events you’ve come to love and expect! And how special they are! Not only will we deliver live musical performances during the screenings of Suspiria and Cowards Bend the Knee; even considering we’re reviving adult oriented animation with Heavy Metal; more exciting than serving booze on select 21+ Saturdays including a screening of The Big Lebowski; we are bringing in the Godfather of Gore himself, H.G. Lewis to the stage for an interview and signing! His recently remade stomach-churning classic, The Wizard of Gore will be splattered across the screen for your enjoyment!
See you at the Late Night Picture Show!
